Michael W. Self

Of Counsel

Michael W. Self is a former long time partner, now of counsel, at McDougall Self Currence McLeod. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1985, and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in the same year. In addition to his work as a member of the family law section of the South Carolina Bar Association, he is also former president of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Michael W. Self completed the South Carolina Certification Training for Mediation in 1994.

His practice is in the areas of family and domestic law in South Carolina. Michael W. Self is an experienced mediator at our law firm who also happens to be on the Board of Directors at Palmetto Legal Services. Michael W. Self was named one of South Carolina's Super Lawyers in 2009 and 2010. He received a distinguished honor from Martindale-Hubbell in 2017 for being Peer Rated for High Professional Achievement.
